Speaker's Biodata
Henning has more than 15 years of experience in software solutions for the pharma and life science industry. Being a professional software developer he commenced the development of his first, internet based EDC system in the late 90s. He has helped numerous pharmaceuticals and biotech companies in the successful adoption of electronic data capture in clinical trials.
Henning is a co-founder of Quadratek Data Solutions Ltd., a widely known and highly acclaimed provider of eClinical solutions. As such he is overseeing the development of the clincase electronic data capture and clinical data management platform. Based on his broad experience he is widely known in the industry as an expert in the field of electronic systems in clinical trials.
Abstract
In the past few years Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Systems have become widely accepted as an efficient method for data collection in clinical trials. The technology bears great potential to make the clinical trial process more efficient in terms of time and costs. But there are obstacles in the day-to-day operation of EDC technology. In order to fully benefit from the technology, it is necessary to understand how EDC fits into the bigger picture of data collection and clinical data management.
In his talk Henning Lux will provide an overview of the current state-of-affairs of electronic data capture and his own experience with the application of the technology in various clinical trial environments. He will explain how the clincase software meets the real-life challenges of EDC and how companies of any size can build a strategy for successful EDC implementation.
Healthcare Seminar Series is a forum to bring medical practitioners and technology researchers to share information and foster closer collaborations. The invited speakers are from both communities. Medical speakers will talk about their needs, current problems, state-of-the-art practices, and clinical policies. Technical speakers are expected to share their recent research and development, which are currently or potentially useful in clinical applications.
